Privacy Policy

Fishable, LLC ("Fishable," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Fishable mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Information We Collect

Fishable is built to work without collecting any personal information. We do not require an account, login, or user registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any identifying information.

We do not request iOS location permissions. You select your fishing region manually within the App. Your GPS coordinates are never accessed, transmitted, or stored.

1.1 Anonymous Analytics Data

We use TelemetryDeck — a privacy-first analytics service — to collect anonymous, aggregate information about how the App is used. This helps us understand which features are valuable and improve the App. TelemetryDeck may collect:

• Aggregate feature usage events — for example, which zone tabs (Shore, Inshore, Nearshore, Offshore) are viewed and in which city
• Which detail screens are viewed and for how long
• Whether users enable or decline push notification prompts
• General geographic region at the country or state level, derived from IP address by TelemetryDeck — we do not access or store this ourselves

TelemetryDeck is designed to collect zero personal data. Any user identifiers are double-hashed using SHA-256 before leaving your device and are not reversible. This data is aggregated only, is not linked to any device identifier we control, and cannot be used to identify you personally.

1.2 Voluntary Feedback Form Data

If you choose to contact us using the in-app feedback form, we receive the email address and message you provide. This information is transmitted through Formspree (a third-party form processing service) and forwarded to us at chris@fishable.us. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. It is never used for marketing, never shared with third parties for commercial purposes, and never used to track you across apps or websites. Submitting feedback is entirely optional and is not required to use the App.

1.3 Push Notifications

The App may request permission to send you push notifications (such as daily fishing reports). Your notification preference (enabled or disabled) is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not store notification tokens or use them for any purpose other than delivering the notifications you have opted into. You can revoke notification permissions at any time in your iOS device settings.

1.4 What We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, we do not collect:

• Your name, phone number, or any contact information unless you voluntarily submit the feedback form
• Your GPS location or any location data (you select your fishing city manually)
• Any account credentials or profile information (no account required)
• Payment or financial information (the App is free)
• Photos, camera, microphone, or contacts data
• Any information that identifies you as a specific individual outside of voluntary feedback submissions

2. How We Use Data

The anonymous, aggregate analytics data collected through TelemetryDeck is used solely to:

• Understand which features and fishery sections are most useful
• Improve App performance, stability, and user experience
• Make informed product decisions about what to build next

We do not use analytics data to serve targeted advertisements, build user profiles, or sell to third parties.

Personal information submitted via the optional feedback form (email address and message) is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not used for any other purpose.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 TelemetryDeck

We use TelemetryDeck, provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH, for privacy-first anonymous analytics. When you use the App, your device sends hashed, non-reversible usage signals to TelemetryDeck's servers. TelemetryDeck is specifically designed to collect no personal data. You can review TelemetryDeck's privacy practices at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

3.2 Formspree (Feedback Form)

If you choose to submit feedback using the in-app form, your email address and message are processed by Formspree, Inc. Formspree transmits your submission to us and may temporarily store it on their servers. You can review Formspree's privacy practices at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. Your submission is voluntary and not required to use the App.

3.3 Fishing Data Providers

The App generates fishing reports using third-party data APIs including weather services, NOAA tide data, and AI content generation services. These services receive only the fishing region you have selected — never any personal information about you.

3.4 Affiliate Links and Third-Party Websites

The App may display links to third-party retailers (such as Amazon, Pure Fishing, or Bass Pro Shops) for fishing gear and tackle. These links may be affiliate links, meaning Fishable may earn a small commission if you make a purchase. When you tap an affiliate link, you are directed to a third-party website outside the App. We do not share any personal information with these retailers, and we have no control over their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

3.5 No Advertising Networks

The App does not currently include advertising and does not integrate any advertising SDKs or third-party tracking networks. If this changes in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice within the App.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. The only data that leaves your device is: (a) the anonymous analytics described in Section 1.1, which flows to TelemetryDeck under their privacy framework; and (b) feedback form submissions (email + message) you voluntarily send, which flow through Formspree to us. We may disclose information if required by law or court order. Outside of voluntary feedback submissions, we hold no personal data and such requests would yield nothing identifying.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures for the systems we control. Because we collect no personal information, the privacy risk to users is inherently limited. Anonymous analytics data processed by TelemetryDeck is subject to their enterprise-grade security infrastructure.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — or from anyone. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

7. Your Choices

There is no account to delete. If you wish to stop all anonymous analytics data collection, you may delete the App from your device at any time. Push notifications can be enabled or disabled at any time in your iOS device settings. Because submitting the feedback form is entirely voluntary, you can simply choose not to submit it.

California residents: we do not sell personal information. The only personal information we may collect is what you voluntarily provide via the optional feedback form (email address and message content). No opt-out from data sale is necessary as we do not sell data.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this document and, for significant changes, by providing notice within the App.
